Tunisia has an important documentation on the plant communities spread across 12 natural regions of the territory. The flora of Tunisia estimated at approximately 2100 species is very diversified. For Tunisia the preservation and the valuation of medicinal and aromatic plants of the country flora is very important for its enormous economic and landscape value. The medicinal and aromatic plants remain an inexhaustible source of biologically active substances.
